Skan Dnia is a system for producing structured news briefings: morning, evening, and weekly. The application collects signals from curated RSS feeds, clusters them into topics, supports an editorial curation workflow, persists versions in a database, and publishes finalized editions to the web — operating on a daily cycle with automated assistance and editorial oversight.
The project is not an attempt to build a mass-media news portal. Instead, it is an experiment with a calm, concise synthesis format: what is most important, what is known, what remains unknown, what to watch, and which primary sources substantiate the edition.
What has been built
A public website featuring editions, daily topics, archive search, and weekly recaps, paired with an administrative dashboard for generating editions, editing copy, versioning, source health diagnostics, database backups, and pre-publication readiness checks. The system validates sources and publishes versioned edition snapshots.
What the project demonstrates
Skan Dnia demonstrates editorial workflow engineering, source verification, scheduled automation, versioning, administrative tooling, and cautious integration of AI tools in content synthesis — anchored by an explicit confidence layer: what is confirmed, what is uncertain, and what to monitor.
What the project is not
- It is not a generic news portal or commercial newsroom with full journalistic staff.
- It is not an automated content mill producing volume for SEO.
- It does not present information without source attribution and confidence indicators.
